Without cash there is no movie. Someone's got to pay. The big question is who?
Meet Harry and Oslo. Third-division film-makers with one major-league problem: no-one wants to invest in their lousy movie. To make matters worse they've spent the seed money they got from a guy named Mookie and Mookie isn't happy. Not one little bit. And, when Mookie's not happy, things are going to get bent. But, like Oslo says, 'what do you expect from a guy named 'Mookie'?' In the middle of yet another unsuccessful attempt to persuade assorted dentists and Rotarians to invest, Oslo takes direct action by robbing a gas station and leaving the clerk for dead. The hapless Harry has no choice but to be swept along in Oslo's increasingly risky robbery spree. Which is when they meet Violet and events soon start to ratchet up a few notches . . .
'The Last Train to Sugartown' is an independent feature film in development by CMHL Enterprises and Hungry Head Productions and scheduled to shoot in British Columbia in mid-2019. A stage production is also slated for 2020.
